AI (Artificial Intelligence) background

There's a new hype about visual images being created by Al (artificial intelligence). Some people are enthralled with the capabilities and others hate the idea because it eliminates the artist. It didn't necessarily eliminate my role as the artist, as I used it as one tool to create my own personalized image. I prompted the program to create me a forest with flowers and misty light and then put my subject into the scene. It's a magical feel. What's your opinion on AI for visual images?
